Project FreePlay: A Camp Where Fun Meets Purpose

Project FreePlay is a high-energy, multi-sport camp built for families who want more than babysitting and more than “just drills.” We combine skill clinics led by local experts, real community role models (police, fire, military), and intentional character development—all wrapped inside a week that feels like the best day of summer… every day.

What campers feel: included, challenged, proud, and fired up to come back tomorrow.

WHAT MAKES PROJECT FREEPLAY DIFFERENT?

Your child won’t just “play around” (although we do plenty of that). Each camp week includes dedicated time for sport-specific skill clinics led by trusted coaches and specialists from our local sports community.

What this means for your camper:

  • Better fundamentals through simple, high-rep teaching

  • Confidence from small wins and supportive coaching

  • Exposure to multiple sports so kids discover what they love

Clinics are designed to be beginner-friendly while still challenging more advanced athletes.

We bring in local police, fire, and military members not as a gimmick—but as meaningful role models. Kids get to interact with adults who live out service, teamwork, and leadership.

Why families love this:

  • Campers meet inspiring people from their own community

  • Kids learn respect, gratitude, and perspective

  • Reinforces the idea: character matters more than talent

Character isn’t a poster on the wall—it’s part of the program. We teach simple, sticky life lessons that show up on the field and at home.

Examples of what we reinforce:

  • Confidence (trying new things without fear)

  • Teamwork (lifting others up, communicating, including everyone)

  • Resilience (handling mistakes, bouncing back quickly)

  • Sportsmanship (winning with humility, losing with maturity)

  • Respect (coaches, teammates, opponents, self)

These moments are short, real, and age-appropriate—then immediately applied through games and group challenges.

This is an active camp. Kids move constantly—with variety so they stay engaged and don’t burn out on one thing.

Expect:

  • Fast-paced games and scrimmages

  • Creative competitions and team challenges

  • Rotations that keep kids involved (no standing in lines)

  • A “fun-first” vibe with structure and purpose

The goal: kids go home tired (in the best way), proud of themselves, and excited to return.

We are intentional about who we place in front of your child.

Every staff member is background-checked and selected not only for their sports experience, but for their character and ability to positively impact young athletes.

Our coaching team includes experienced youth coaches, former players, college athletes, and local sport leaders — all trained to teach fundamentals clearly, communicate positively, and model respect.

Parents can expect:

  • Strong adult supervision and leadership oversight

  • Clear athlete-to-coach ratios

  • Positive, age-appropriate instruction

  • Coaches who understand they are role models first

Great camps don’t happen by accident. They happen because the right people are leading them.

Every day blends skill, games, and character in a way that feels natural.

  • Welcome + warm-up games

  • Skill clinic rotations (led by coaches + community experts)

  • Small-sided games / scrimmage play

  • Camp challenge (team competition + leadership moment)

  • Community hero feature days (police/fire/military involvement)

  • Closing huddle (wins of the day + simple life lesson)

  • A safe, positive environment with strong leadership

  • Real skill development without the pressure cooker vibe

  • Coaches who teach the “right way” (sports + life)

  • A camp that feels premium and welcoming

If that’s you, you’ll fit right in.
